Winemaking Style

Every wine gets made, but only some get made with “style”.   What is winemaking style you ask?  Well in contrast to the claim I just made every decision that is made during the wine making process will add up to the winemaking style.  For example here at SFV we try to make big bold reds and crisp clean whites.  We do our best to get a lot of extraction which adds up to big flavors.  We also strive try to keep everything very clean and balanced.  We shoot for an oak profile on reds that adds to the wine while still letting the fruit shine through and we do our best to keep our whites crisp and refreshing.  In short we love big bold reds and crisp clean whites.  That being said we make a variety of wine and have our fair share of takes and different ways to get what we want out of a varietal.  You can make a quality wine in so many different styles and we hope you try and enjoy them all!
